Taiwan’s Lin Yu-chun, famous-ish on Japanese TV, apparently, for his rendition of “I Will Always Love You”, is starring in a new Japanese drama for streaming service dTV. Called Dosu-koi Musical, the show is like Glee meets sumo wrestling. According to Pouch, Lin plays a Taiwanese exchange student who is bullied because of his weight and decides to join the university sumo team.

Russian mosquito festival seeks 'most delicious girl'

Organizers of a Russian town's annual mosquito festival said this year's event will include a "most delicious girl" contest for women who don't mind bug bites.

Natalya Paramonova, an organizer of the three-day event starting July 17 in Berezniki, said the festival will feature a "most delicious girl" contest, with women in shorts and vests stand still for 20 minutes to allow the bloodsucking insects to feast.

"An expert panel of judges, including a doctor, will examine their bodies and the winner will be the one with the most bites," Paramonova told Interfax.

Organizers said the winner of 2013's "most delicious girl" contest received more than 100 bites during the 20-minute competition.

Headline of the day: Grandmother choked with bra defends herself with ceramic chicken

Apparently ceramic chickens are a thing, and you should maybe get one for your grandmother for self-defense purposes. Who knew?

LEXINGTON, Ky., April 1 (UPI) -- Police in Kentucky said a woman who was being strangled with a bra fended off her attacker by striking her in the head with a ceramic chicken.

Patricia Leece, 61, of Lexington, said she opened her door early Monday because she thought the banging and shouting was her granddaughter, but she instead found stranger Ashley Sies, 31.

The homeowner told police Sies pushed her way into the house and wrapped a bra around Leece's neck.

"She choked me down and we fought for a good 15 to 20 minutes. Finally I saw one of my (ceramic) chickens on the floor so I picked it up and started bashing her on the head with it," Leece told WKYT-TV.

Leece said Sies fell unconscious and she called 911.

Police said Sies was apparently on drugs and believed she was being followed when she knocked on Leece's door.

Sies pleaded not guilty Tuesday to a charge of first degree burglary and was ordered held in lieu of $10,000 bond. Leece said she plans to pursue additional charges against the intruder.

Woman wins $1.5M after car crash turns her into a dominatrix

A woman claims a car crash changed her personality — transforming her from a star student to a lusty dominatrix — and now she’s getting $1.5 million in damages for it.

Alissa Afonina, 23, of Burnaby, British Columbia, said in court papers that she was a bookish teen at the top of her high school class until a pickup truck she was riding in ran off the road and she bumped her head.

The resulting brain damage caused a loss of “impulse control,” turning her into a sex-crazed wild child — and leading her to sex work, say the court documents, filed in British Colombia Supreme Court.

“I find that it is the brain injury that has led to her post-accident lack of ability to cope in the normal way, and it is the brain injury that has prohibited her from generating sufficient economic resources to support herself,” Justice Joel Grove wrote on Jan. 7.

“Alissa’s work as a dominatrix supports the finding.”

Life as a serial killer’s daughter: Keith Jesperson (the Happy Face Killer) was caught when she was 15 years old

This is disturbing, not in an explicit way but just because it's such a weird thing to think about. 

There isn't a book out there called, What Do You Do When You Find Out That Your Dad's A Serial Killer? There's nothing out there that tells you what to do.

Keith Jesperson is notorious in the US as the Happy Face Killer (wiki), who raped and murdered eight women in the 1990s. Here his daughter, Melissa Moore, describes how she learned the truth as a teenager - and eventually found a way to live with it - keeping it secret until her own daughter started getting curious. She wrote a book a few years ago entitled Shattered Silence: The Untold Story Of A Serial Killer's Daughter.

When I was 13, we were driving along the Columbia River, a beautiful wide river that separates Washington State and Oregon. We were just getting close to the Multnomah Falls area when my Dad announced: "I know how to kill someone and get away with it." Then he just started to tell me how he would cut off the victim's buttons, so that there wouldn't be any fingerprints left, and he would wear cycling shoes that didn't leave a distinctive print in the mud.

At the time, I put this down to my father's penchant for detective fiction, but years later I realised we had been driving through the area where he had disposed of Taunja Bennett's body three years earlier. I think he wanted to relive it and enjoy the moment again. My dad felt compelled to share his crimes, as he did in the messages that he left at truck stops, or sent in letters to the media. They were always signed with a smiley face, leading the media to dub him the "Happy Face Killer".

Saudi man dies after being kicked in the face by the donkey he was (allegedly) trying to sodomize

The jokes just write themselves.

Via Opposing Views: The bizarre story of a man who died after trying to have sex with a donkey is circulating all over Middle Eastern news sites.

Lebanese website Beiruting recently reported that a Saudi Sheikh man died after attempting to sodomize a donkey. But other sites have picked it up as well. Reports say that the man tied the donkey to his car, took off his pants and attempted the have sex with the animal.

The donkey, however, was not about to let that happen, and allegedly, it proceeded to kick the Sheikh man in the face following by three strong kicks to the chest. The man fell to the ground and allegedly suffered for some time before dying next to the angry animal.

When police arrived, they reportedly discovered the man’s body and were able to determine what had happened.

It’s impossible to confirm this story's accuracy and it sounds really out there, but it’s starting to pick up steam online. Who knows? Stranger things have happened.
